Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

Bridge Transfer moves files directly between your phone and your computer on the same local network. We do not operate a cloud file-storage service, and the apps contain no advertising, analytics or tracking.

Files and local-network data

The files you choose are sent directly to the paired computer, whose address is encoded in the QR code it shows. Bridge Transfer does not upload file contents, file names, connection tokens or transfer history to any server of ours — there is none.

Camera

Camera access is used only to scan the Bridge Transfer QR code displayed by your computer. Camera images are processed on your device, and are not stored or transmitted.

Clipboard

Clipboard sharing only happens when you tap it. The text you choose is sent to (or read from) your own computer over your local network. It is not sent anywhere else and is not stored by Bridge Transfer.

Photos and files

The apps only access the files and photos you select. If you choose to save received pictures to your Photos library, your device asks for permission to add photos; Bridge Transfer does not read your library. You can also choose the folder in which received files are saved.

Notifications

An optional “transfer finished” notification is created locally on your device. No push-notification service is used and nothing is sent to us.

No advertising, no tracking

Bridge Transfer is free. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not collect or share personal data, and the apps do not use your advertising identifier.

Data stored on your device

The apps store your transfer activity, preferences, thumbnails of recent transfers and saved computer pairings locally. Pairing tokens are kept in protected app storage (the Keychain on iPhone). The Windows app stores its pairing token and settings in your user profile.

Your choices

• Disconnect from a computer, or remove a saved computer, at any time.
• Clear transfer activity without deleting transferred files.
• Turn off completion notifications in Settings.
• Remove local app data by deleting the app.

Local network traffic

Transfers use HTTP on your private network and are protected by a secret pairing token. Use Bridge Transfer on networks you trust.
